Staying Away

Kasumi sat on one of the bleachers that were shaded by some trees. She watched people as they went about their business with a careful eye. Whenever someone tried approaching her, she would turn her back and 'pretend' not to hear them. She didn't need company. She didn't need anyone apart from Akachan. Besides, outsiders only let you down. Its what they did. They made you trust them, got you attached to them, then threw you aside like you were nothing but trash.

Zero was guiding someone to the sun dormitory as they tried to stay out past dusk. He looked up at the bleachers and saw one of the night students. He despised vampires ever since they killed his family. He looked away from her and told the person to walk back to they're dorm.

One of the other night students approached her slowly, asking her why she was just sitting there. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes. Why do they need to know? It was none of THEIR business what she was doing. She didn't answer, just continued scratching an odd symbol into the wood of the bleacher. It wasn't anything 'evil', just a symbol she remembered her mother used to draw all the time. Force of habit, she supposed.

Yuki stopped somewhere,pushing lightly the two girls she was leading to their dorms. "No,no! You will take back the books tomorrow!" she said,slightly annoyed.The two girls finally agreed it was better to leave,so they left.Yuki wiped her forehead and sighed in relief.She blinked to her left side,at a woman.She realized she was from the Night Clas,first of all by appearance.She looked over to see if the two girls really left.As she was walking back,she narrowed her eyes at the woman.Yuki didn't seem to remember her.She slowly approached her and tilted her head. "Are you new at the Cross Academy?" she asked,smiling gently.

She glanced up at the girl, her charcoal eyes seeming emotionless and wary. She shook her head once. "Been here for a while..." She replied quietly, not returning the smile as she looked back at the bleacher. She really seemed untrusting, which was something everyone seemed to catch on to whenever they met her. She said nothing else to the girl, but she wasnt relaxed in any sense. Her shoulders were slightly hunched, her frame was rigid. She was totally and undeniably on guard for something to happen.

Zero stood nearby the bottom of the bleachers and peered up at the two of them out of the corner of his eye. He was going to make sure nothing happened to Yuki while vampires were around, he was not going to lose her.

Yuki tilted her head at the girl,her big brown and kind eyes meeting with hers. "Oh.I asked because I haven't see you around too much." she said -too much- since she remembered she had seen the girl some other times,but rarely. Yuki wasn't nervous around vampires though.Not around the vampires at the Academy,at least.She believed she could trust them due the fact they belong to the same place that Kaname belonged to. "My name is Yuki Cross." she said to the girl.It was part of her duty to know the members of the Night Class,but she also liked meeting new people.

She fought the urge to sigh heavily and walk away. This girl was a prefect or something, it wouldn't bode well for her if she ignored them. "....Kasumi Hotaru..." She finally replied, her free hand reaching up to clasp her necklace firmly. "Do you need something...?" She asked the girl, assuming that she must've done something wrong for a prefect to be approaching her like this. Something had to be wrong for anyone to be NICE to her.

Zero's gaze did not leave the two of them, he didn't trust any vampires, no matter they're appearence. To him, All vampires were the same and they would hurt humans.

Yuki blinked at the girl. "I don't actually need anything.I have to know all the Night Class' members.Even though I approached you because I wanted to meet you by my free will.Not because I have to." she said letting out a slight smile.Yuki was the type of person to always give chances to people.Even though she realized that Hotaru was responding only because herself was a Prefect,she wanted her to respond just because.Besides,Yuki was nice to people,she didn't want to ignore,annoy nor be mean to her if the others were doing that.

She looked at the girl and looked at the boy who was examining them. He wasn't happy about her conversing with this Yuuki girl, that she could tell. She cleared her throat, picking up her bag. "I see...Well, it was nice meeting you but i think your friend is a bit touchy about you talking to a vampire. Maybe it's best if i mind my own business, Miss Yuuki," She said respectfully, forcing herself to at least smile the tiniest bit. Better than nothing. Besides, Akachan would probably like this girl so she'd have to at least TRY and like her too.

Yuki didn't actually realize Zero's presence.She wasn't good at feeling anybody's presence,except if that person is loud of course.Zero,on the other hand,was just silent and hard to notice by her.She took a step back,getting out of Kasumi's way so she could walk. "It was nice meeting you to and there's no need to call me Miss Yuki." she replied with a small giggle.She then looked around,noticing Zero's presence only now.She glanced at him for a moment,before glancing at Kasumi again.Yuki didn't get mad on Zero or anything.She knew he had really painful encounters with vampires,she didn't want to change him and make him accept the vampires.Yuki waved at the other girl. "Take care then."

Zero saw them wave at eachother, that must mean one of them was leaving. He let his guard down a little and closed his eyes and leaned against the wall next to the bleachers.

She nodded slightly, looking down. Yep, she was right after all. Sure, Yuuki was nice and all, but with that other guy around she wouldn't get a chance to get to know her. She wouldnt have a chance to make a friend here so why try? "Yeah...you too," She nodded towards her as she walked along the path as dusk slowly made itself known. She passed Zero, keeping her head low down as she walked by. The last thing she needed was someone angry at her. Right now, she just needed to get away. From everyone. Again. This was getting tiresome.

Yuki walked over the spot Zero was,passing him and walking back. "I think I heard a few squeels." she said narrowing her eyes.She saw a ponytail behind a tree that disappeared then someone running in the opposite direction the two Guardians were staying. "Hold it a second!" she said running after the person.She didn't tell Zero to join her.Was because she wanted to do all the work,she didn't want Zero to deal with sneaky fangirls in the state he was.

As much as Zero wanted to chase after the people he just didn't feel up to it, he felt very weak, and his skin felt clammy. "I Think Im sick.." he muttered to himself under his breath as he put his hand on his head trying to stop himself from feeling so dizzy.

Kasumi stopped a little bit away at a water fountain, leaning down to get a drink. She sighed slightly as she looked at her fangs in the reflection. Things seemed so bleak as a vampire. To her at least. The only consolation was the fact that she was still around for her little sister. At least that was one thing to live for. Well, not LIVE as such but it was something along those lines.
